Once bought, you immediately recognize the OCZ products due to the heat spreaders. It looks nice and it actually makes installing the modules a lot easier as you have more grip. The effectiveness cooling wise can be discussed though.
Anyway under it is some of the fastest memory available. Memory for us overclocking and tweaking geeks has to not only perform good, it has to look good as there is stiff competition out there. Cons: Performance increase was minimal, but that's just in the nature of the upgrade really, seeing as more than 2GB of RAM is pretty much overkill. Had enough trouble installing the damned sticks that I thought I had bought the wrong type, but with a little extra force, I managed to get it in there, and it's not such a big deal since installation is a one time thing anyway.
Overall Review: For those of you looking to future proof your PC, don't bother opting for 4GB of ram just yet, especially with a 32bit operating system.
Overall Review: Lets see how fast I get my replacement. Dell Dimension My system was faster with this memory 1gig of the two than with my original Meg. I'd recommend it. Will update once I get my replacement pair.
Cons: Recieved a bad stick only 1 out of two worked. Had to send it back and pay shipping again. Pros: Newegg has excellent service for processing and delivering the product. The Memory worked great and I had no problems with it. Cons: OCZ does not make rebates. I have bought about 4 sets of OCZ memory. I sent the paper work in to OCZ for two of them.
In each case they said the paper work was sent in to late. This was not the case. I was going to let this slide, but if you expect a rebate from OCZ for get it. Overall Review: I think Newegg is an excellent place to buy computer products.
